The SoundLAB G027EB (version A) cable tester offers instant checking of your leads, giving indications for continuity and short-circuit to ground.
Each core of a multi-core cable is checked individually by way of 9 position switch, the last position of which checks the internal 9v battery. Regular test leads may be plugged into the banana sockets on the front panel, otherwise leads are simply plugged into the unit at each end.
